Gramin list vs Urban list at a glance

Gramin list: the short version

Rural beneficiaries are shown village by village. In short, open the reports page on the PMAY-G portal, look for Social Audit Reports, then Beneficiary details for verification, and choose state, district, block, Gram Panchayat, financial year and scheme. The result shows names, registration numbers, amount sanctioned, installments paid and house status, and guides report an Excel or PDF download.

Note: third-party guides in late 2026 report that the old pmayg.nic.in address has moved to pmayg.dord.gov.in. This was not confirmed officially, so check both in your browser.

Urban list: what you can and cannot see

For PMAY Urban, people often search for "pmaymis gov in list" expecting a name list like the rural one. Here is what our fact sheet confirms:

• The state-wise PMAY-U 2.0 table on pmaymis.gov.in shows houses sanctioned and demand entered for each state. It has no individual names. For example, it shows Uttar Pradesh with 4,24,047 houses sanctioned and 22,75,954 demand entered (no date shown on the page).
• Your own PMAY-U 2.0 application can be seen through the Applicant Login using Aadhaar, name and OTP.
• Many websites describe a "Search Beneficiary" by name or Aadhaar for the older PMAY-U on pmaymis.gov.in. One guide reports this search was removed, and we could not confirm it exists today. Treat any such claim with care.

If you applied through your city body or a Common Service Centre, ask the Urban Local Body office about sanction status. More on PMAY 2.0 track application.

How to find the right list for you

1. Check where your house will be. Village area (Gram Panchayat): Gramin. Statutory town or city: Urban 2.0.
2. Rural, no registration number: open the village-wise beneficiary report and filter down to your panchayat.
3. Rural, with a registration number: use the beneficiary search, usually under Stakeholders, to see your single record and installments.
4. Urban 2.0 applicant: use Applicant Login with Aadhaar and OTP. Keep the Application ID from your printed acknowledgment.
5. Old PMAY-U (2015) beneficiary: contact your city body; the online individual search could not be confirmed.
6. If a screen looks different, menus have changed. Look for words like "beneficiary", "report" or "login", or ask the local office.

Year-wise lists: 2020-21 to 2026-27

People search for the pm awas yojana list 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026. On the rural portal these are not separate lists. They are the same report with a different Financial Year chosen in the filter. A house sanctioned in 2022-23 appears under 2022-23, even if its last installment came in 2025.

• 2016-17 to 2023-24: Phase 1, target 2.95 crore houses. All were sanctioned and 2.69 crore completed as of 6 February 2025.
• 2024-25 to 2028-29: Phase 2, 2 crore more houses approved on 9 August 2024.
• 2025-26: 32.47 lakh houses sanctioned and 26.57 lakh completed in the year, according to news reports of a Rajya Sabha reply (August 2026).
• Older IAY years: the portal still carries IAY reports, so pre-2016 beneficiaries can look there. See IAY beneficiary.

If you cannot find your name, try the years just before and after the year you think the house was sanctioned.

District lists and state pages

There is no separate district PDF. In the rural report, choosing your district and block narrows the list. Some states have their own notes. For example, as of 7 August 2025 (Lok Sabha), Bihar had 49,02,754 houses sanctioned and Odisha 28,10,721. According to news reports, the Centre approved 11,18,937 houses for Bihar for 2026-27 in August 2026, so Bihar lists for that year may keep growing. For urban areas, the state table on pmaymis.gov.in gives state totals only. City-level questions go to your Urban Local Body.

About "2026 list PDF download" offers

Many sites promise a ready "pm awas yojana 2026 new list PDF". Be careful:

• Only a list generated on the official portal is current. Shared PDFs can be old, edited or fake.
• Police in Bhopal warned in November 2025, as reported, that fake APK files promising PM Awas benefits can hack phones.
• Nobody can add your name to a list for a fee. Rural payments go only by DBT into the beneficiary’s Aadhaar-linked account.
• Never share OTP, Aadhaar or bank details with unknown callers. Complaints can go on CPGRAMS.
