After you click Final Save on the PMAY 2.0 form, you get an Application ID. To follow it, you use the PMAY 2.0 track application option (पीएम आवास योजना 2.0 आवेदन स्थिति) on the official Unified Web Portal. This page explains how, based on the official user manual and FAQ, with menus as seen on 14 October 2026.

This site is an independent guide. We cannot look up your status for you and never ask for your Aadhaar or OTP. If you have not applied yet, start with our PMAY 2.0 apply online steps. If your house is in a village, see PMAY status check for the Gramin route.

What you need before you check

  • The Aadhaar number used in the application. One Aadhaar can be used for only one form.
  • The name exactly as printed on Aadhaar. Spelling differences can cause an error.
  • The mobile linked to that Aadhaar, switched on, to receive the OTP.
  • Your printed acknowledgment with the Application ID, to quote when you call the helpline or visit the ULB.

The official FAQ also says status can be tracked with a unique user code, Application ID or registered mobile number, on the portal or a mobile app. The portal home page does not show any mobile app, and we found no official app name or link, so do not install any “PMAY 2.0 status” app from unknown sources.

Step-by-step: track PMAY 2.0 application through Applicant Login

  1. Open the official portal at pmaymis.gov.in/PMAYMIS2_2024.
  2. Look for “Login” and then “Applicant Login”. It is usually also under Quick Access. The direct official page is Applicant Login.
  3. Type the Aadhaar number and the name as per Aadhaar.
  4. Click “Generate OTP” and type the OTP sent to the Aadhaar-linked mobile.
  5. Click “Submit”. Your submitted application appears on screen.
  6. Note what the screen shows and take a screenshot for your records.

Important: there is a red “Withdraw” button under “Action”. It withdraws your application. Do not press it unless you really want to cancel.

Why not the menu called “Track Application Status”? On the portal it points to the same login page used by officers. Citizens should use Applicant Login. If the screen looks different, look for words like “Applicant” or “Citizen”, or ask your municipality.

What happens after you apply

The official sources describe this flow, though the exact status words on screen may differ:

Stage Who handles it What it means
Submitted You Final Save done, Application ID created, acknowledgment printed
Forwarded ULB (BLC, AHP) or PLI (ISS) Your form goes to the city body or the lender you chose
Verification State/UT, ULB, Central Nodal Agency or PLI They check eligibility; filling the form alone gives no right to a house
Sanction Central committee (CSMC) on State proposals Houses are approved in batches; several CSMC meetings were held in 2026
Release Centre and State BLC money in instalments 40:40:20; ISS subsidy in 5 yearly instalments

Sanctions come in batches, so a pending status for some months is common. For what the money looks like after sanction, see PMAY installment amount.

If your PMAY 2.0 status is stuck

Try these in order:

  • Visit your Urban Local Body (municipal office) with your acknowledgment. BLC and AHP forms are verified there.
  • For ISS, contact the lender (PLI) the form was sent to. PLIs should not charge a processing fee for loans up to the eligible amount.
  • Call or WhatsApp the PMAY-U 2.0 helpline shown on the portal (011-23060484, 011-23063620, 011-23063567, 011-23061827; WhatsApp +91 8810389745).
  • File a grievance on CPGRAMS at pgportal.gov.in if there is no reply.

Full contact details and complaint steps are on our PMAY helpline and complaint page. Never share your OTP with anyone who calls claiming to “speed up” your file.

Checking the home loan subsidy (ISS)

For ISS, PIB says beneficiaries can check their accounts through the website, OTP or a smart card. The subsidy of up to Rs 1.80 lakh is released in 5 yearly instalments. Ask your bank branch to show the subsidy entries in your loan account statement.

If you took a home loan under the older PMAY-U 1.0 scheme (CLSS), that is a different system. The official CLSS page on pmay-urban.gov.in lists toll-free numbers for the central nodal agencies: NHB 1800-11-3377 and 1800-11-3388, HUDCO 1800-11-6163, and SBI 1800-11-2018.

PMAY-U 1.0 beneficiary status: what is confirmed

Many websites describe a “Search Beneficiary” option by name or Aadhaar on pmaymis.gov.in for the old scheme, and a “Track Your Assessment Status” page. As of 14 October 2026 we could not confirm these on the official site, and one guide reports the name search was removed. Treat such instructions with care, and confirm with your ULB or the helpline. The portal does publish state-wise PMAY-U 2.0 figures, but these are totals, not individual names. Learn more about both phases on PMAY Urban 2.0.

Frequently asked questions

How can I check my PMAY 2.0 application status?

Go to the official Unified Web Portal on pmaymis.gov.in, choose Login and then Applicant Login. Type the Aadhaar number and name as on Aadhaar, generate the OTP, type it and submit. The application you submitted is shown. Keep your acknowledgment with the Application ID for any follow-up with the ULB or helpline.

Can I track PMAY 2.0 application without Aadhaar OTP?

The Applicant Login described in the official user manual uses Aadhaar and OTP. The FAQ says Application ID, a unique user code or registered mobile can also be used, but the exact screen for this was not confirmed. If the OTP fails, visit your Urban Local Body or call the PMAY-U 2.0 helpline with your Application ID.

Why is my PMAY 2.0 application still pending?

Applications are verified by the State, ULB, Central Nodal Agency or lender, and houses are sanctioned in batches at central committee meetings. A wait of some months is common. If nothing changes for a long time, ask your municipal office whether verification is complete, then use the helpline or CPGRAMS.

What does the Withdraw button mean in PMAY 2.0 login?

The red Withdraw button under Action cancels your submitted application. Use it only if you truly want to withdraw, for example after choosing the wrong vertical and being advised by your ULB to reapply. Once withdrawn, your application will not be processed, so think carefully before pressing it.

How do I check PMAY Gramin status, not urban?

PMAY Gramin is a separate scheme run by the Ministry of Rural Development, so it is not on the urban portal. Rural beneficiaries check details by registration number or through village-wise reports on the PMAY-G reporting site. Our PMAY status check page explains the Gramin steps.

Is there an official PMAY 2.0 tracking app?

The official FAQ mentions tracking through a mobile app, but the portal home page shows no app and we found no official app name or link as of 14 October 2026. Avoid apps or APK files shared on WhatsApp that claim to track PMAY status, as fake apps can steal bank data.
