Bihar PMAY-G in numbers

The table brings together the most recent Bihar figures we could source. Official figures come from Lok Sabha answers; later figures are from news reports of Rajya Sabha replies and state events, so they are labelled.

According to IANS (20 August 2026), a housewarming was held for 2.35 lakh completed homes, and Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said 50 lakh pucca houses had been built in Bihar since 2014. The large 2026-27 approval means many new names may be added to panchayat lists during the year, so check again even if your name was missing earlier.

How to check the Bihar awas yojana list village-wise

These steps come from third-party guides (Housing.com, February 2024; sarkariyojana.com, October 2026). Menu names may differ, so if a screen looks different, look for "Social Audit" or "Beneficiary details".

1. Open the PMAY-G reporting portal at rhreporting.nic.in and look for the Report menu.
2. Find the section called Social Audit Reports and choose "Beneficiary details for verification".
3. Select State: Bihar. Then select your District (for example Katihar or Gaya), Block and Gram Panchayat.
4. Choose the Financial Year (for example 2025-2026 or 2026-2027) and Scheme: Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana Gramin.
5. Type the captcha and click Submit.
6. Read the list. It usually shows name, father's or mother's name, village, registration number, sanction number, amount sanctioned, installments paid and house status.

Bihar awas yojana list 2026 PDF download

Guides say the village list page offers an Excel or PDF download after you submit. We could not load the report page to confirm the exact button in October 2026. If you do not see a download option, you can still print the page from your browser, or ask your panchayat sevak or the block office for a copy of the list verified by the Gram Sabha.

Several third-party sites also report that the PMAY-G portal has moved from pmayg.nic.in to a new address on pmayg.dord.gov.in. We found no official notice and could not open it. If one address fails, try the other, and check that the address ends in gov.in or nic.in before you trust any "Bihar list PDF".

Name not in the Bihar list: what to do

PMAY-G has no open online application form, in Bihar or anywhere. New families come in through the SECC 2011 list, the Awaas+ survey and Gram Sabha verification. If your name is missing:

• Ask the Gram Panchayat whether you were surveyed under Awaas+ 2024. See our Awaas Plus guide.
• Check your status with your registration number if you have one, using PMAY status check.
• Complaints on inclusion, deletion or rank go to the Gram Panchayat, then block, then district, which finalises the wait list.
• Grievance officers exist at Gram Panchayat, block, district and state level, with disposal within 15 days, according to Lok Sabha replies. You can also file on CPGRAMS at pgportal.gov.in.

Bihar state housing schemes and other searches

Ask the block office or check the relevant Bihar government department's own site, and make sure the address ends in gov.in.

Bihar towns are covered by PMAY-Urban 2.0, a different scheme with an official online application. According to Akashvani (12 September 2026), Bihar was among six states that got about 29,000 more urban houses at the 9th CSMC meeting on 10 September 2026. See PMAY Urban 2.0.

Installments and safety in Bihar

PMAY-G pays Rs 1,20,000 per house in plain areas by DBT into the beneficiary's Aadhaar-linked account, in construction-linked installments. The number and size of installments is set by each state, and our sources do not give Bihar's current schedule, so ask the block office. A geo-tagged photo is taken at each stage before the next installment.

• No one can sell you a place on the list. Selection is by survey and Gram Sabha.
• Never share OTP, Aadhaar or bank details with unknown callers, and never install an "awas list" APK from WhatsApp.
• Beware of fake websites, fake approval letters and agents who promise a house for a fee. Report cyber fraud on 1930.
