PMAY Login: pmayg.nic.in, AwaasSoft and PMAY 2.0 Login

Most PMAY login pages are meant for officials, not families. This guide sorts out who logs in where: AwaasSoft for Gramin staff, the Applicant Login for PMAY-Urban 2.0 applicants, and the public pages anyone can use without a password.

Checked against official sources: 14 October 2026 · Independent guide

Public report pages, no login needed

Searches like "pmgay nic in login", "pmay mis login" or "awaassoft login" bring up a confusing mix of pages. The short answer: PMAY-Gramin has no citizen login that official sources describe, while PMAY-Urban 2.0 does, through an Aadhaar OTP based Applicant Login. Everything else, from AwaasSoft to the Urban officer login, is for government staff.

This is an independent guide. We do not run any of these portals and we never ask for your Aadhaar number, OTP or application ID. Always type the login details only on the official portal, and check that the address ends in gov.in or nic.in.

PMAY-Gramin: AwaasSoft and pmayg.nic.in login

AwaasSoft is the web-based platform that runs PMAY-G behind the scenes. The CAG report on PMAY-G in Uttar Pradesh (Report No. 8 of 2025) says it handles beneficiary registration, sanction orders with unique PMAY-G IDs and QR codes, and payment orders. Inspecting officials also upload geo-tagged photos of each construction stage to AwaasSoft through AwaasApp before the next installment.

The reporting portal rhreporting.nic.in shows separate "Awaassoft" and "Data Entry" menus. These need official credentials. None of the official sources we read describes a citizen login or an online application form for PMAY-G. If someone offers to "log in to pmayg.nic.in" and add your name for a fee, that is a scam.

Several third-party guides (September to October 2026) say pmayg.nic.in, awaassoft.nic.in and iay.nic.in no longer open and the portal is now on pmayg.dord.gov.in. We could not confirm this, so check the address yourself before typing anything.

What rural families can check without any login

You do not need a password to see most PMAY-G information about your own village:

  • Village-wise list: the Social Audit report "Beneficiary details for verification" shows names, sanction numbers, installments paid and house status. See our gramin list guide.
  • Status by registration number: Stakeholders, then IAY/PMAY-G Beneficiary. See PMAY status check.
  • Payments: the FTO Tracking and e-Payment menus on the reporting portal.
  • UMANG: PIB's November 2024 backgrounder lists a PMAY-G service on the UMANG app and web.

Our rhreporting guide explains the menus one by one.

PMAY 2.0 Applicant Login: step by step

For PMAY-Urban 2.0, the official user manual (27 December 2024) describes the citizen login. Menu names were checked on the portal home in October 2026 and may change.

  1. Open the Unified Web Portal at pmaymis.gov.in (PMAY-U 2.0 home).
  2. Click "Login" and choose "Applicant Login". There is also a Quick Access link straight to the Applicant Login page.
  3. Type the applicant's Aadhaar number and the name exactly as on Aadhaar.
  4. Click "Generate OTP" and enter the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile. Type it only on the official page.
  5. Click "Submit". Your submitted application is shown, with its status.

The same screen shows a red "Withdraw" button under "Action". Pressing it withdraws your application, so do not click it by mistake. If the screen looks different, look for words like "Applicant" or "Citizen" rather than "Officer". More tracking options are on our PMAY 2.0 track application page.

Old PMAY-U and CLSS logins

PMAY-U 1.0 ran from 25 June 2015. Its home loan subsidy vertical, CLSS, was left out of the extensions after 31 March 2022, and the PIB press note of September 2026 says PMAY-U 1.0 was extended to 30 September 2026 only to complete houses already sanctioned. We found no source on a further extension as of 14 October 2026. The old pmayuclap.gov.in pages belong to CLSS. For a new home loan subsidy under PMAY-U 2.0, the Interest Subsidy Scheme (ISS) is applied for on the Unified Web Portal, not at the bank. Many sites describe an old "Search Beneficiary" by name or Aadhaar on pmaymis.gov.in; this is commonly listed online but was reported as removed and we could not confirm it.

Login safety rules

  • Enter Aadhaar and OTP only on pages ending in gov.in. An OTP is for you alone; no official will ask you to read it out on a call.
  • Applying on the official portal is free. A MoHUA disclaimer says the Ministry has not authorised any private person to collect money for PMAY(U) benefits. Common Service Centres can help; the FAQ gives no fee details, so ask the CSC to show any official charge.
  • Beware of fake websites, fake apps, fake approval letters and agents who promise a house or money for a fee.
  • This site never collects Aadhaar, application IDs, OTPs or bank details.

For help, the PMAY-U 2.0 portal lists helplines 011-23060484, 011-23063620, 011-23063567 and 011-23061827. All numbers are on our PMAY helpline page.

Frequently asked questions

How do I log in to pmayg.nic.in as a beneficiary?

Official sources we read describe no beneficiary login on the PMAY-G portal. The Awaassoft and Data Entry logins are for programme staff. As a family, use the public reports instead: the village-wise beneficiary list or the IAY/PMAY-G Beneficiary search with your registration number. No password is needed for these.

What is the PMAY 2.0 login process?

On the PMAY-U 2.0 Unified Web Portal, click Login and then Applicant Login. Type the Aadhaar number and name as on Aadhaar, click Generate OTP, enter the OTP from your Aadhaar-linked mobile and submit. Your application and its status appear on the next screen.

What is AwaasSoft login used for?

AwaasSoft is the PMAY-G transaction platform. Officials use it to register beneficiaries, issue sanction orders with unique IDs and QR codes, generate payment orders and upload geo-tagged stage photos. It is not meant for citizens, and anyone offering to log in on your behalf for money should be reported.

Why does PMAY track application status ask for officer login?

On the PMAY-U 2.0 portal, the Track Application Status menu item opens the same page as the Officer Login. That page is only for officials. Citizens should choose Applicant Login, which uses Aadhaar and OTP, to see their submitted application and its status.

Is there a PMAY gramin login for the Awaas app?

The AwaasPlus 2024 app has a self login for households doing a self-survey and separate official logins for surveyors, both with e-KYC, according to its Google Play listing. Self-survey works only when the survey window is open in your state, and the app should be installed only from Google Play.

Can I check my PMAY status without login?

Yes for PMAY-Gramin: the reporting portal shows village-wise beneficiary lists and a registration number search without any password. For PMAY-Urban 2.0, the Applicant Login with Aadhaar OTP is the documented way to see your application, and you can also ask your urban local body office.
