UP PMAY-Gramin: near saturation

According to a Lok Sabha reply of 12 August 2025, Uttar Pradesh had built almost every house on its PMAY-G target list:

Two more points help explain these numbers. As reported by The Wire in July 2023, 1,44,220 houses withdrawn from about two dozen states were reallocated to UP that year. And UP was among the 12 states that received part of the Rs 10,021.42 crore "mother sanction" released on 28 May 2026, as reported by Morung Express. We could not find a reliable UP-specific PMAY-G figure for 2026, so treat the 2025 numbers as the latest official ones.

What this means for you: with the older SECC 2011 and Awaas+ 2018 lists saturated in UP, new rural names mostly come from the Awaas+ 2024 survey.

How to check the UP awas yojana list village-wise

The steps below come from third-party guides (Housing.com, February 2024; sarkariyojana.com, October 2026). If a menu name looks different, look for "Social Audit" or "Beneficiary details".

1. Open the PMAY-G reporting portal at rhreporting.nic.in and look for the Report menu.
2. Under Social Audit Reports, choose "Beneficiary details for verification".
3. Select State: Uttar Pradesh, then your District (for example Meerut or Lucknow district), Block and Gram Panchayat.
4. Choose the Financial Year and Scheme: Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana Gramin.
5. Fill the captcha and click Submit.
6. Check the list for your name, registration number, sanction number, installments paid and house status. Guides say Excel and PDF downloads are offered.

If you already have a registration number, the PMAY status check is quicker. For more detail on every filter, see the gramin list guide. Third-party sites report that the PMAY-G portal has moved to pmayg.dord.gov.in; we could not confirm this, so check the address ends in gov.in or nic.in.

UP in PMAY-Urban 2.0: highest demand in India

For families in UP towns, the urban scheme matters more. The state-wise table on the official PMAY-U 2.0 portal (StateList page, no date shown) lists Uttar Pradesh with 4,24,047 houses sanctioned and 22,75,954 demand entries, the highest demand of any state. According to Akashvani (12 September 2026), UP was also among six states that got about 29,000 more houses at the 9th CSMC meeting on 10 September 2026.

Unlike Gramin, PMAY-U 2.0 has an official online application on the Unified Web Portal. Families with annual income up to Rs 3 lakh (EWS), Rs 3 to 6 lakh (LIG) or Rs 6 to 9 lakh (MIG) may qualify for different verticals, if no family member owns a pucca house anywhere in India. What the CAG audit found in UP

The Comptroller and Auditor General published a performance audit of PMAY-G in Uttar Pradesh as Report No. 8 of 2025, covering records from 2017 to 2023. Its first chapter explains how the scheme runs in UP: costs are shared 60:40 between Centre and State in plain areas, AwaasSoft handles registration, sanction and payment orders, and officials upload geo-tagged photos before each installment. Drishti IAS (April 2026), citing CAG, reported geo-tagging compromises where houses were tagged hundreds of kilometres away. Separately, The Wire reported in 2019 that middlemen in a UP village demanded bribes of about 20% of the house cost. These reports are a reminder to insist that every payment reaches the beneficiary's own account by DBT.

UP CM Awas Yojana and other searches

People in UP also search for "UP CM awas yojana gramin list" (Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana) and other state housing schemes. • Complaints on inclusion or deletion go to the Gram Panchayat, block and district grievance officers, with disposal within 15 days, according to Lok Sabha replies. States also use IGRS and CM helplines.

• Never pay anyone to add your name, and never share OTP, Aadhaar or bank details with unknown callers. Beware of fake websites, fake apps and fake approval letters.
